Vienna Youth Soccer Announces June 16th Food Drive

Unfortunately, Hunger Does Not Take a Summer Vacation!  

To help Food for Others prepare for summer demand, Vienna Youth Soccer (VYS) will sponsor an iCAN! Food Drive on Saturday, June 16^th from 9am-1pm at Giant in Vienna. 

VYS players and volunteers will set up a table in front of the Vienna Giant and ask shoppers to purchase extra non-perishable groceries during their shopping trip to help a neighbor in need.  The first 50 shoppers to make a donation will receive a limited edition iCAN! t-shirt!

Vienna Little League Scores a Home Run with iCAN! Food & Equipment Drive!

Vienna Little League (VLL) recently wrapped up their first iCAN! Food & Equipment Drive.  

Each VLL player was asked to donate at least 2 non-perishable products to Food for Others to replenish their shelves before the summer.  Collection sites were also available for players to donate gently-used baseball equipment which will provide opportunities for needy children to get up to bat! 

During the iCAN! Drive, VLL successfully donated almost 1300 pounds of food to Food for Others and collected 121 baseball bats, 94 baseball gloves, 82 pairs of cleats, and lots of assorted gear and uniforms to help children take a turn at bat in the U.S. and overseas!
